The Department of Environmental Economics comprises 10 doctoral students and postdocs, offers a team-oriented working environment and is internationally oriented. It deals with the application of economic knowledge to problems of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem service preservation, climate adaptation and new water scarcities. Methods and approaches include the development of integrated models that combine data and models from different disciplines and the assessment of environmental change through choice experiments.
