The Chair of Decarbonization and Transformation of Industry (DTI) is set up with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) at the Faculty of Economics, Law and Society in BTU to scientifically accompany the transformation processes in Germany. The research & teaching profiles of DTI focus on a multidimensional socio-technological-economic-ecological-political (STEEP) assessment of industrial production and processes of energy- and carbon-intensive industries. It builds a bridge between engineering, business management and social sciences as well as creates a basis for intersectoral communication and cooperation at the nexus of science, industry, politics and society to support the decarbonization and transformation of energy- and carbon-intensive industries towards a low carbon, resource efficient, secure, circular and sustainable production. In the Chair of Decarbonization and Transformation of Industry at the Faculty of Economics, Law and Society the following position is to be filled:
Post-Doctoral Research Associate (m/w/d)
Part-time employment is also possible. Following the third-party funded project, further funding for the position will be considered.
Your area of responsibility includes in
particular:
Teaching activities, including:
- Participation in the fulfillment of the Chair's teaching tasksaccording to content and methodological guidelines, currently,among other things, for the Environmental and ResourceManagement (BA, MA) and Transformation Studies (MA) degreeprograms, to impart specialist knowledge, practical skills, andinstruction in the application of scientific methods
- Participation in the preparation and implementation of teaching activities and examinations as well as supervision of student theses and projectwork
- Other teaching-related administrative tasks
Research activities, including:
- Scientific work within the research foci of the Chair including participation in the preparation and execution of research projects as well as presentation and publication activities according to international standards
- Own in-depth scientific work with the opportunity for individual qualification (i.e., Habilitation)
- Other research-related administrative tasks
Your requirements profile:
- a completed academic university degree as defined by the TV-L pay scale (accredited master/university diploma or equivalent in business administration, economics, social sciences, environmental sciences, industrial engineering or comparable)
- a completed doctorate degree/PhD in a discipline relevant to the research foci of the Chair
The following knowledge is required:
- methodological skills for empirical research
- didactic skills
- very good language skills in English and German
The following knowledge is also an advantage:
- Academic experience in the scientific area of the Chair or related areas as well as international experiences
You possess the following personal skills:
